Ok but what does this all mean for you? You may not have even heard of half this stuff, never mind what you do with it or what health issues you can help resolve with them. I hope this information will help you understand the types of treatments offered here at this clinic.
If you are like most people, you would have trouble saying Kinesiology never mind knowing what it is. For a starter it is pronounced KIN-EASE-E- OLOGY.
Kinesiology is a wonderful holistic healing approach based on Chinese concepts. That the workings of the human body are related to balanced relationships of energy flows throughout the body. The use of muscle monitoring, the practitioner is able to identify and often correct imbalances, whether they are structural, emotional or nutritional. The great thing about Kinesiology is that you often see a change straight away, depending on the problem you are working with.
Significant improvements have been achieved in a short time with complaints such as; low back pain Shoulder problems, headaches Allergies, joint pain, phobias plus more.
Sometimes it can be confusing what type of Massage is what. You have got Sports, Theraputic, Remedial, and Swedish, just to name a few. What’s the difference? Swedish is basically where it all started. Sports is a firmer massage, using various speeds and depths to achieve different goals throughout the Massage, e.g.; pre-event, post event.
Therapeutic is much the same as sports Massage in application, generally a good thorough massage, designed to flush away toxins, increase circulation and with relax tight muscles. Remedial Massage is used to work on more specific soft tissue problems, such as sprains and strains. Remedial Therapy is a combination of different modalities, such as trigger point therapy, Myofascial release therapy, specific hold/relax stretching and Kinesiology. Combined with a thorough knowledge of anatomy is a very affective way of working with more complex soft tissue injuries.
